Every year Las Vegas is host to the largest consumer electronics tradeshow on the planet. The Consumer Electronics Show or CES consists of manufacturers of every category of electronics. My interest was to see the very best in massage chairs. Although there were many massage chair vendors, I was interested in the manufacturers of the top products and present what I found.

One of the more interesting massage chairs at the show was the Dream Wave Sogno. The Dream Wave Sogno was the winner of the CES 2010 Innovation Award for its advanced designed and sophistication. This massage recliner has some amazing technology.

One of the features of the Sogno is its air compression massage system. This massage chair has airbags for the neck, arms, hands and most other parts of the body. The air massage around the neck area is very soothing and relieving. This is perhaps the best air compression design for the neck area on the market today. The arm airbags were less impressive as I did not really receive much effectiveness.

The Sogno comes with a rocking seat which is built on a pivot to provide ergonomic support for your spinal column. It makes a wave-like movement to help relieve stress on the spine. This gentle rocking motion is what provides the Dream Wave name for the Sogno. There is some impressive technology in the Dream Wave massage chair and its price is a bit lofty at $6,000.

Another impressive high end massage chair is produced by Fuji Medical. The Fujiiryoki recliner provides a full body massage and a shoulder press. The shoulder press is firm and provides great relief from the sides of the body during the massage therapy. The Fujiiryoki has an FDA device listing and was touted as a medical chair. This advanced therapeutic massage recliner retails for $10,000. They also have the infamous “Dr. Fuji” which is worth a visit alone to hear his sales pitch.

The massage techniques are very invigorating and relieving. The combination of good massage to the back with the rotation of air compression from the feet, calves, shoulders and seat provides for a thorough massage experience. The design of the chair is modern with black and silver colors.

I was able to try the Montage Premier by Omega Massage. This is the high end Omega chair which has full body massage capabilities. The Omega Montage Premier was the only chair with heat therapy and also a music player. The massage capabilities were stronger than both the Sogno and the Fujiroiki chairs.

The Montage Premier also can fit taller people like me better. I am 6 foot 2 inches and I have trouble finding a massage chair that really fits my frame. The leg rest of the Montage Premier can be extended an extra 4 inches. The chair back is also longer than the other chairs and was more comfortable to sit in. At $4,500, the Montage Premier was a deal.

There were many massage chair companies spread throughout the CES show. I quickly learned that there were manufacturers and there are importers. I stayed clear from the importers as they seemed to be interested in a quick sale. The manufacturers are the ones that have staying power and will be there to support your warranty down the road.

If you ever go to a show to check out shows, you want to make sure that a company you buy a massage chair from will be there down the road. There are some companies that have great deals one year and then never come back to the show. Of course, there are new companies but you need to have the confidence that they will be there to take care of any warranty issues you might have.

The 2010 CES show was certainly impressive. It attracts over 130,000 people and they were out in force. I was able to get to try the best massage chairs on earth at one place. The best massage chairs were the Montage Premier, Sogno and the Fujiiryoki. These are all solid chairs with some amazing massage therapy and technology. Some stains in the marble are difficult to remove and they may require you to use stronger cleaners. When this happens, avoid cleaners with acid. Paint thinner, turpentine or denatured alcohol are some of the stronger cleaners that are safe to use on these marbles. To make certain that these cleaners won’t damage them, test it first by applying it on a small part of the marble.

After some time, the shiny look of the cultured marble fades but this can be restored by waxing and polishing it. Countertop wax, car wax, water and silica are among the things that can be used in waxing and polishing your cultured marble. Avoid getting it damaged by not exposing it to hot water and using harsh cleaners.
