Thirdly we have the mallet, the mallet is used to hammer chisels, it is used a s this alternative because the metal head of the chisel would wear off if the metallic hammer is used to hit it, hence is the best alternative for metallic hammer since it is made of wood.
Another hammer commonly used by engineers is the ball pein hammer, its one hammer that is useful in the engineering field since it is used to hammer rivets in metals. It is refereed to as ball pein because it is round on one side and flat on the other side perfect for shaping ends of the rivets.
Finally we have electrically engineered hammers commonly referred to as nailers, nailers are hammers that are electrically hammered and is perfect for driving down nails into wooden timbers, say for example you have different planks of timber, it will be used to drive the nails into this planks.
These are some of the common hammers mostly used but we also have different hammers not explained above because of their complexity in use. But if you just want to have a hammer that you can use comfortably at home the claw hammer is the best.
